We come from traditional hard working families. Our success has not been easy. Our desire to be above average, to take charge of our own destiny and the willingness to sacrifice the traditional security of a job were all key to our survival as independent business people.
We have operated small and large businesses built from the ground up. Many of our businesses have been in many different countries. Some required capital investments in the millions of dollars while others only required a few hundred dollars plus our willingness to work hard.
Through the years we have been mentors to hundreds of other people who have in turn achieved their own individual success. Many of the people we have helped were able to break away from dissatisfying or unproductive careers to create their own businesses with new rewarding opportunities.
We have also experienced loss and failure. Breaking with tradition to follow your own path is not without risk. Often times you will be alone in your quest with only the support of close friends or advisors to encourage you, and even they may abandon you at times. We have been there. But, each defeat or failure was a lesson to reach a new success. We learned that money is only part of the success equation. Ironically, money is only important when you do not have any but even it pales in significance to other key success ingredients such as mental attitude, willingness to learn, open-minded thinking, the ability to mastermind ideas, goal setting and definiteness of purpose.
